Suzanne Rutba ٍ: What is the source of your tremendous energy?
Doha Boraki: Not quite five feet tall, 120 something pounds, nearly blind in one eye, I’m on the frail side, but ferociously determined not to fall into the slothfulness peculiar to our women—not to resemble one of those well upholstered objects we call oeiyalate [female creatures]. There’ll be plenty of time to rest when we’re dead.
